I will be giving a talk at the first Annual African Conference of Sacred Sexual Educators.

The Masculine Sexual Identity

Some may hear of the birds and the bees; other's may learn by trial and error. When our elders, guardians, teachers and mentors know so
little about their own sexuality, what chance does a little boy have when reaching his sexual maturity?

We grow up largely sexually dysfunctional. What little information we do receive is weighted with the threat of some intolerable life-long suffering. At best we entertain ourselves with a meager and barely satisfying experience. At worst we inflict our feelings of inadequacy and frustration on others with a self-centered and bitter cruelty capable only by the human species imbued with the back-handed gift of self-awareness and rational thought. In this, the genders remain polarized, defeating and unsupported.

With a series of anecdotal stories from his own personal journey out of boyhood, Stephen challenges contemporary beliefs about men and sex, and considers the possibilities available were men to establish an integrated and honoring relationship with their sexuality.
