October was an extraordinary month for me. Stepping out of my comfort zones provided a rich experience I had only previously imagined. It has not been without its pain and sadness but even that has contributed to the wonder I feel about this mystery we call ‘life’.
I seem to be working with choices. Not rational choices, based on logic and reason, but ones based on feelings that sometimes don’t even have words. I could call it an ‘inner-knowing’ except that there is no knowing. Know what? An ‘inner-trust’? Trust what?
Slowing down (sometimes), I use a moment to listen and observe. In this moment I’m looking for something that feels like a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’. No explanation required. It’s that simple (and fascinating how our minds struggle with it). Yes or no! From that I choose and then meet whatever happens next. When I experience pain I listen to that too as it reveals little gems. Our teachers come in different forms.
I am excited about the men’s workshops coming up this month. All information has been finalised and I’ve indulged my IT skills by creating an online registration and payment process (one for the women’s workshop too: The Secrets of the Jade Egg).
Events scheduled for the rest of the year:
-
I facilitate Blissdance on the first two Wednesdays of November (3rd and 10th). If you feel a need to get into your body and move then this is a fantastic opportunity to do exactly that.
-
The monthly informal breakfast chat is on Thursday 11 November at The Annex (behind the Kalk Bay bookshop). This is a good space to say hi and/or ask questions.
-
In Johannesburg AND Cape Town, during November, are two-day men's workshops called On Being Man. These are being held in conjunction with Secrets of the Jade Eggworkshops for women.
-
The 2nd annual Conference for Sexuality and Consciousness Educators is being held this year in Cape Town's Kalk Bay in early December. It is followed immediately by two training programs: Spiritual Sexual Shamanic Practitioners training and Tantric Training: Into the Depths.
Ask me if there's anything in this newsletter you'd like more information about.
I look forward to seeing or hearing from you.
In the beauty of being,
Stephen
