Sexuality is sacred, we've just forgotten. Some want to remember and find its expression in a variety of ways.
An initiative of EroticSpirit, SexDialogue is a meeting and conversation space for individuals who find personal expression of their sexuality in different interest groups and communities. It is an opportunity to meet others with a an interest in sexuality from diverse areas; an opportunity to share, experience and manifest a future where a healthy integration of sexuality is embraced, honoured and celebrated with the fullness of our potential as human beings.

Unconference format
It's valuable what can be learned and applied from geekdom in our expression of sexuality and in relating to others. It's the topic of an entire talk. But for now, for this, we borrow the 'unconference' format for generating open dialogue.
From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference):
"An unconference is a facilitated, participant-driven conference centered around a theme or purpose. The term "unconference" has been applied, or self-applied, to a wide range of gatherings that try to avoid one or more aspects of a conventional conference, such as high fees and sponsored presentations. [...] The term is primarily used in the geek community."
From the unConference website (http://www.unconference.net):
"The unconference format creates space for peer-to-peer learning, collaboration and creativity."
Who is it for?
SexDialogue is for anyone interested their own sexual integration and expression.
Possible areas that embrace, include or work with sexual expression and could be represented include:
-
Sacred sexuality, shamanic and pagan practices such as Tantra, Kabbalah, Wicca and Sangoma traditions
-
Sexuality and gender identity‐based communities (LGBT)
-
Lifestyle/identity choices such as the polyamory, swinging and BDSM/fetish communities
-
Services and entertainment practices such as sex work, stripping and dancing
-
Body work practices such as massage and physiotherapy
-
Counseling/therapeutic practices such as sexology and psychology
How does it work?
Register and arrive; everything happens from there.
Participants are presenters, presenters are participants; nobody is an expert and everyone has something to offer if they choose to.
How SexDialogue rolls out is decided on the day based on who's there, what the interest is, what's on offer and how energy moves us.
Still not sure? Read unConferencing – how to prepare to attend an unconference.
